Instagram app released for Windows 10 PC and tablet
The UWP Instagram app now works across phones, tablets and PCs
The Universal Instagram app is now available not only for smartphones, but also for tablets and PCs running Windows 10. The company has optimized the app so it could work on a large screen and be adaptable in a windowed-mode.
Earlier this year, Instagram got support for Windows 10 Mobile’s Continuum, allowing you to open Instagram in Continuum mode.
Installed on the Desktop, Instagram looks exactly the same as the phone version, except the fact that it has been scaled up slightly. You can view photos, browse profiles, see notifications, upload and edit photos from devices with built-in rear cameras like the Surface Pro and Surface Book. Currently, Desktop computers without a rear camera and a touchscreen won’t see the camera icon, so they cannot upload photos to Instagram.
