Huawei has recently shared its plans to release the successor of its Ascend W1 in Europe. Huawei Ascend W2 is already available in China and will arrive in Russia and Netherlands this month. However, there are yet no announced dates for the rest of the world.

Huawei Ascend W2 colors

The device will come in four colors: black, red, blue and yellow. It features a 4.3-inch 800 x 480 display, 1.4 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and 5-megapixel camera which supports 720P video playback and recording. The internal storage is not big, but it can be expanded as the device has a micro SD expansion slot. The handset also has FM Radio support. As you can see it is a budget device and will be competing with low-end devices such as Nokia Lumia 520. The battery is 1700 mAh and Huawei argues that it stands 16 days in standby mode. Huawei Ascend W2 has a very sensitive display allowing its usage with gloves. As an extra, it features more than 20 Start screen themes for better customization. In addition, the device has backlit buttons to be in unison with the theme chosen.
