According to trusted sources, HTC is making a Windows Phone version of its flagship HTC One. Neowin has informed that the device will be launched this fall. It is stated that it will have the following specifications:

• 4.7″ Super LCD3 1080p screen
• 2 GB of memory
• 32 GB of storage
• Windows Phone 8 GDR3
• Beats audio

As it will be shipped with Windows Phone 8 GDR3, most likely it will use more powerful chipset than the current flagship models. This also means that it will come with the corresponding updates such as a new Live Tile UI, notification center, and rotation lock.

In other information, HTC has confirmed that they are still dedicated to the development of Windows Phone handsets. You can see below what the HTC senior Global Communications Manager has replied when asked whether HTC would make another Windows Phone device. This quells the recent rumors that the company is abandoning Windows Phone.
