HTC updates the photo edit app

HTC has refined its photo editing application for HTC One M8 on Windows. Version 2.0 which is now live in the Store offers a couple of improvements, some UI changes, and brand new effects.

HTC Photo Edit 2.0 comes with a new slider for the U-focus, bug fixes and minor UI refinements. A new effect called ‘Seasons’ allows HTC One M8 owners to add 4 different layers (Sakura, Snow, Dandelion, and Maple Leaf) to their photos and make them live. Season effects require Duo camera hardware and is simulated thanks to data gathered by these two cameras. That means the old HTC 8S and 8X devices do not support the ‘Seasons’ effects. Animated photos can be saved as stills or short videos and then uploaded or shared.

The app also has some basic photo editing tools allowing users to enhance their photos by adding filters with a single click or tweaking basic settings.
