Windows 10 Anniversary Update still coming soon to the HP Elite x3

HP’s brand new super-phone, the Elite x3, is already on sale in many countries around the world, but the company is still working on the Anniversary Update for the device. HP announced last month that the update would be coming by September 13 but the phone is yet to receive an update to Windows 10 Mobile build 14393.xxx.

Now we learn that HP is still testing the software to ensure it provides the best possible performance and stability. In a FAQ page on it website HP says:

The Anniversary Update (Redstone 1) for Elite x3 will be released in the coming weeks. We are currently testing the update to ensure the highest quality.

Along with the Redstone 1 update, HP is expected to release a firmware update with some new features and additional improvements for the Elite x3 such as a more reliable camera app.

All these updates are now listed as “coming soon”, but an official release date for them has not been announced.
