Select which icons to appear on the taskbar

In Windows 10 PC, you can easily customize the appearance of the taskbar by hiding unwanted icons from the notification area. All settings can be found under the Taskbar menu in Settings → Personalization. Here are the steps:

Hide / unhide icons on the taskbar

1. Go to Personalization → Taskbar.

2. Scroll down to the Notification Area and tap ‘Select which icons appear on the taskbar’.

3. Toggle on all icons you want to see in the taskbar.

Turn system icons on/off

1. Go to Personalization → Taskbar.

2. Scroll down to the Notification Area and tap ‘Turn system icons on or off’.

3. Toggle on/off system icons to see them or not in the taskbar.

From the ‘Taskbar’ page in Settings you could also lock the taskbar, auto hide it in desktop or tablet mode, select small icons, show badges and tweak some other settings.
