HoloLens 2 could be unveiled on February 24 in Barcelona
Microsoft’s CEO will attend the press-conference at the Mobile World Congress
HoloLens’ inventor Alex Kimpant posted on Twitter an interesting video with the date 2.24.19. On that date Microsoft is holding a press-conference in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress. The video possibly shows a new AI processor for the HoloLens that uses Deep Neutral Engine.
Microsoft has been long rumored to work on HoloLens 2 whose price is expected to be significantly lower than $3000. The gadget is said to be on the track for a Q2 2019 launch, so a presentation at the MWC 2019 makes a lot of sense.
The company may be using a Snapdragon chipset that has been specifically tuned for the headset. HoloLens 2 may offer a wider viewing angle, and it may be significantly smaller in size. ARM processors would better suit the HoloLens 2, since they offer better battery life – something that Intel counterparts cannot provide.
