Harmon Kardon’s speaker to invoke Cortana
Cortana-powered speaker to be released soon
Harmon Kardon is working on a new speaker powered by Cortana and Windows 10. It will be an Alexa competitor, allowing you to use voice commands to play songs, and even call someone on Skype.
The setup wizard for the new speaker has appeared online and we learn that the device may be called Invoke, although it could be just a codename. Apparently, Invoke will rely entirely on Cortana and it will have built-in microphone for voice commands and Skype calls. Harmon Kardon Invoke should be announced and released later this year, so we should learn more about its capabilities very soon.
See several screenshots of the Invoke installation wizard below. According to them, Invoke will access your Skype name, contacts, Cortana and it will be able to send notifications.
