Microsoft launches a redesigned GroupMe app

Microsoft’s GroupMe texting app for Windows 10 smartphones has been rebuilt from the ground, specifically for the new mobile platform.

The app allows you to send and receive free messages from a person or a group via their phone number or email address. You can also chat with people who don’t have the app installed on their Windows smartphone – through SMS or online on groupme.com.

GroupMe has been integrated with Windows, so you can view groups in the People app and reply fast with interactive notifications. You can send photos and videos, and even control the notifications – mute those chats you don’t want to be notified for.

GroupMe may soon be released for Windows 10 PCs, and the developers have promised some new features to be added in the future.
