Groove Music apps now recommends streaming with Spotify
Microsoft encourages users to use Spotify
Microsoft announced this month that their own music streaming service that, part of Groove Music, will be retired in favor of Spotify. The company has updated their music apps for Windows 10 Mobile and Windows 10, adding a banner link at the bottom to encourage users move to Spotify if they want to stream music after December 31.
Microsoft is closing the Groove Music Pass service at the end of this year, and the Groove music apps on Windows 10 will remain traditional music players without the ability to stream music. It’s important to know that you want to move your music in collections and playlists from Groove to Spotify until January 31, 2018.
Unfortunately, users with Windows phones may have problems with Spotify on their devices. The app has been on life support for a year, without updates and new features.
