Surface Laptop owners can upgrade for free until March 31

Windows 10 S, the lightweight and secure version of the platform without access to classic Win32 apps, debuted with the Surface Laptop announced earlier this year, but all consumers buying this device would be able to upgrade to the non-restricted Windows 10 Pro until the end of 2017.

Now the company is extending the free upgrade offer until March 31. If you have a Surface Laptop, or other device with Windows 10S, you could upgrade to full Windows 10 with access to the massive number of .exe apps.

However, even if you miss the March 31 deadline, you could still upgrade for $49.

The company also announced that the Surface Laptop would be coming to more markets in new colors.
