At least four new smartphones at Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi?
Nokia is set to announce a number of new devices at its Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi on October 22. Several Lumia smartphones, a tablet and other hardware are expected to be unveiled on that date. Some of the devices have already started to leak through different sources. According to the information, Nokia is likely to announce at least four new smartphones including Lumia 525, ‘Batman’, Lumia 929 and the 6-inch Lumia 1520. The event will also mark the first Lumia tablet – 2520.
The Chinese website Weibo has just posted a new render of what is said to be the Lumia 929. The latest reports suggest that this device will arrive as Lumia 929 in the US, but for regions outside the country it will be called Lumia 1320. Nokia will position the phone between 1020 and 1520 in terms of a screen size (probably around 5-inches), offering users a clearer choice and more options on the market. Verizon is reported to offer Lumia 929 around $500 off-contract.
Nokia is also preparing a low-end phone that will replace the current hot-selling Lumia 520. Another Lumia device codenamed “Batman” will be positioned just above the Lumia 625. According to The Verge, Batman will have a similar screen size (around 4.7-inches) fitting within the budget category. Batman is said to arrive with a 5 MP camera on the back and a front-facing shooter. This model will be enriched with the new Nokia Camera App that will combine all Pro Cam and Smart Cam features into a single application.
