Microsoft Lumia 650 is set to launch next month

The first real photo of the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 650 has leaked onto the Internet. VentureBeat has posted a photo of a prototype unit of the phone and once again confirmed the 650’s specs.

As we reported months ago, the Lumia 650 will have a much better design than we’ve seen in recent Microsoft Lumia phones. The phone reportedly has a nice premium finish and looks even more premium than the flagships Lumia 950 & 950 XL.

Unfortunately, the design may be the only attractive thing you will find in the Microsoft Lumia 650, if not counting the expected low price. In terms of hardware, the phone won’t be an upgrade of the Lumia 640, and will be closer to the low-end Lumia 550.

It will have an 5-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 210 processor, 1 GB of RAM and just 8GB of storage. The battery is only 2000 mAh, according to multiply sources, but at least the phone may support wireless charging.

In addition to the Lumia 650, Microsoft may announce a mid-range phone in the coming months, before shifting all efforts to the mythical Surface phone in Q3/Q4.
