Facebook will stop sync with many Microsoft apps
APIs changes will significantly impact the Windows users
The integration between Facebook and most of the Windows apps will soon stop working. Facebook has changed the APIs used by third party apps and platforms, which integrate Facebook information to create richer user experience. Microsoft and many other companies will be affected by these changes and the result will be quite significant for the end users.
Most of the Microsoft’s apps for Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows Phone 7& 8 will no longer connect to Facebook and Facebook events won’t sync with other apps and services such as Calendar, Mail, People and others.
Fortunately, the latest version of Windows Phone (8.1) won’t be affected by the new APIs, which means Facebook information will continue to appear in the Windows Phone apps.
