Facebook Messenger picks up an update for Windows 10
The Beta app updated with performance improvements
Facebook has rolled out an update to its Beta app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. The new version is 75.493.17011.0, now available to download from the Store.
With this update, Facebook Messenger Beta picks up bug fixes and performance improvements for Windows 10. The official Facebook app now also redirects to Messenger Beta after clicking on the Messages tab.
Facebook has recently released its official apps for Windows 10, but only Instagram has lost the Beta tag after a series of updates. Facebook and Messenger apps are still in a Beta state, which means you could expect some performance issues with them.
We remind you that the three new Facebook apps for Windows 10 are not universal. Facebook has ported them from iOS using its own software tools, not the iOS bridge tools developed by Microsoft.
