Evidence of Windows Timeline found in Redstone 4 build for PC
Insider Build 17040 includes new Settings for Activity History
Microsoft didn’t introduce Windows Timeline with the Fall Creators Update as promised at BUILD 2017. However, the feature is definitely coming to Windows 10 PC in the next major update, currently known as the Redstone 4.
The recent Insider build 17040 for PC includes a new Settings page under Privacy, which is the first sign that Windows Timeline will be coming soon to Insiders. As reported by ITPro, build 17040 has an Activity History page under Settings → Privacy. It lets Windows collect your activity from PC or phone, while you can resume these activities, and clear activity history. The User interface of Windows Timeline is still not available in this Insider build, but Microsoft is definitely laying the foundations and we may see Windows Timeline very soon.
We can also notice a link to the updated Privacy Dashboard where we read how Microsoft collects history from Cortana, Bing, and other services.
