Everything we know about the Microsoft Lumia 650
Lumia 650: specs, release date, price
A while ago, we informed you about a 5-inch device under testing that could be released as the Lumia 650 in late 2015. Since then, we have started to hear more and more rumors about the possible successor to the Lumia 640. Here’s everything we know about the unannounced Lumia 650:
Release date: the phone is likely to be unveiled around the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (between 22 and 25th of February)
Design: According to leaked renders, the Lumia 650 will have a 5-inch screen, metal band around the sides, and a front-facing speaker. It will be more or less a premium feeling product thanks to a removable back case with metal (or vacuum metal coated polycarbonate like the Mozo backs for the Lumia 950s).
Specs: the Lumia 650 will be positioned in the affordable segment, and according to some sources, it will have modest specs, but also a few surprises. The phone may be powered by a Snapdragon 212 processor, which is an improved version of the 210 found in the Lumia 550, although still in the low-end. There are conflicting reports about the processor, so it won’t be surprising if we see the much more capable Snapdragon 4xx inside the phone. The list with other possible specs includes an HD display panel with Glance Screen, 1GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, 8MP main camera, microSD.
Price: we expect a price between $150/EUR150 and $200/EUR200 for the Lumia 650.
Availability: sales will start in March, wider availability in April
