AT&T finally released the firmware update for the Lumia 950

The firmware update than brings Double tap to wake and many performance improvements to the Microsoft Lumia 950 is finally available for those on AT&T in the United States. The new firmware 01078.00053.16236.35xx enables Double Tap to Wake on the AT&T’s Lumia 950 – you can find the feature in Settings → Extras → Touch.

Along with ‘Double tap’, those on the AT&T with the Lumia 950 get WiFi, Bluetooth, Cellular, stability and reliability improvements. The phones also get better call audio quality and camera performance, including improved auto-focus, audio and video quality.

To check if the update is available for your phone, go to Phone Update and Check for updates. The new firmware should appear as ‘MICROSOFTMDG update’.
