Dell unveils a 2-in-1 version of XPS 13
XPS 13 now has a convertible hinge and new processor
Dell’s XPS 13 ultrabook unveiled in 2016 impressed with edge-to-edge display and powerful hardware, but the company has just taken the XPS line to another level. Only a few days before the CES 2017 kicks off in the US, Dell officially announced a new XPS 13 model that has a convertible hinge to fold the display 360-degrees and use the laptop as a tablet.
In addition to the hinge for all sorts of poses, the XPS 13 (2017) comes with a new generation of Kaby Lake processors, up to QHD+ screen resolution and support for HDR10 content. The convertible also has a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello.
Overall, the new model looks very similar to the non-convertible variant, sans the 360-degree hinge. The 2-in-1 will be available for orders on Dell.com and BestBuy from January 5 starting at $999 for the basic version.
