Coship BVC X1 is an attractive, water-resistant Windows Phone
It will appear in many markets with different brandings
Microsoft is expanding its cooperation with hardware partners and the result is that many new smartphones designed by Redmond launch through local companies in different parts of the world, offering the same features and specs with different brands.
Coship BVC X1 is a unique smartphone in many ways. Besides the fact that it is capable of running two operating systems (by user’s choice), this model demonstrated in Barcelona is actually a very nice looking handset (6.9mm) with a premium feel and specs. Moreover, it is a water and dust-resistant device, something rarely seen in a Windows Phone.
Glass on the back, metal-like (but in fact plastic) band around the sides, and HD or Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 up front. The X1 features a Snapdragon 410 processor (supporting LTE connectivity), 16 GB of storage, 2 GB of RAM and decent cameras (13 MP + 5MP). Powering the phone is a 2600 mAh battery.
Coship BVC L08 is another smartphone presented in Barcelona, but this one is a low-end which will disappoint many. It has a 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 854×480 pixels, 8 GB built-in storage, 1 GB of RAM, plus LTE support.
Microsoft explains that both smartphones will go on sale through local OEMs next month.
