Users have noticed two new features while exploring Cortana’s capabilities. The virtual voice assistant can now help you in making a quick decision. You can ask Cortana:

• flip a coin
• roll a die
• roll the dice

The second new feature is especially for UK customers and is connected with a recent Star Trek event in London. At that event, Microsoft announced that Cortana has learned Klingon. Test her abilities by asking “Can you speak Klingon?” or “Speak Klingon” and see her replies.

Additionally, there are a number of new funny questions and commands Cortana is capable of replying to:

• Beam me up
• Set Phasers to stun
• Do you know Commander Data?
• Star Wars or Star Trek
• Engage
• Number One

Microsoft is trying to add both funny and useful functionalities to Cortana, and thanks to her server side these updates can be rolled out almost instantaneously.
