Live Tiles for breaking news in latest update

CBS News universal app, available on Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 8.1, has received an update bringing some nice improvements and features to Version 1.3., which is now available to download from the store.

Among the new features are Live Tiles and Push notifications for selected topics and Breaking news, so you can pin one or more tiles to the Start screen and then read important headlines and updates without launching the application.

Another improvement is related to Cortana, who now opens the app if you say “Open CBS News’. The list with new features also includes reduced size of bookmarks, tap and hold to remove bookmarks, and a number of bug fixes and general performance improvements.
