Brightness adjuster and Device Hub with WP8.1 + Lumia Cyan update
There are two unannounced options in the Nokia Lumia 630’s settings menu, the first smartphone running WP8.1 + Lumia Cyan update. Nokia Device Hub lets you manage all connected devices; see their statuses and all apps used for interaction. For example, for your Desktop PC you will see apps like Team Viewer, Office Remote, Remote Desktop, ect. The Device Hub also registers the last location of every single device the phone connects with.
The second new option is the ability to adjust manually the brightness for each profile (high, medium and low). This setting would come in handy for all smartphones without an ambient light sensor like the Lumia 630.
The Brightness adjuster is found under settings -> Display -> Brightness profile
You will see a live preview of the brightness, so you can easily change the level but only for the default profile which has been selected on the Lumia smartphone. That means if you’ve selected ‘Low’ you can adjust the brightness level for that profile only. Several preview images will show you how the colors will look like so you can adjust the level until you are satisfied with the results.
Both the brightness adjuster and the Device Hub are not available in the current ‘Preview For developers’ version, so they are likely to arrive with the official Windows Phone 8.1 + Lumia Cyan updates set to roll out next month.
