Microsoft Store US is selling an unlocked BLU Win HD LTE

BLU has released a new version of the BLU Win HD smartphone which comes with some significant improvements compared with the older model.

The new BLU Win HD has a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor instead of the old and slow Snapdragon 200. The new processor supports LTE 4G, so customers can connect to T-Mobile and AT&T’s 4G networks in the US for just $199 without a contract. Another improvement is in the battery department – a larger 2500 mAh battery has been used in the new device compared with 2200 mAh in the older variant.

The remaining specs are the same: a 5-inch HD screen, 1 GB of RAM, 8 Gigs of storage, microSD, 8MP + 2MP camera. BLU Win HD LTE is offered in four colors and runs Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 out of the box, with a promise for a future upgrade to Windows 10.

For $199, the BLU Win HD looks like a competitor to the Lumia 640 which is yet to arrive in the US.

What do you think? Is the BLU offering good enough to compete against Microsoft’s new budget Lumia? Put your comments below.
