BBM is now available for Windows Phones as a public BETA
BlackBerry has just released its popular BBM app for all Windows Phone users. After a couple of weeks of internal testing the company is now rolling out version 1.0.0.0 which can be downloaded right now from the Store.
BBM for Windows Phone is a cross-platform messenger allowing you to chat with friends, send pictures and files, send voice messages and more. BBM BETA v1 has been specially designed for Windows Phones with modern interface. According to the official changelog BBM shows you when the message is delivered and read. Users can share photos, notes, voice messages and location.
The app comes with different emoticons so you can express your mood while chatting, and BBM will show you when people are responding to your message. Other features are:
- Multi-person chat
- Group support
- Send one message to multiple contacts
- Increased privacy – the app uses PINs instead of phone numbers and emails
- You can search for friends
- Feeds with information about friends
- Pin to start – you can pin a contact to your Start Screen
BlackBerry is already working on Version 2.0 which should add more features to the messenger for Windows Phone. You can grab the first BBM Beta from the store.
