Amazon recommends using the mobile browser

The Amazon app is no longer searchable and visible in the Windows Store. Amazon has confirmed the removal of the app and recommends using the mobile browser to buy things or access your account.

However, Amazon for Windows Phone remains downloadable via a direct link, and you can still use it on your device, so the current users who already downloaded the app are not affected for now. The company explains:

It is our first priority to offer our customers the best possible shopping experience, so our shopping app is no longer available for Windows Phone.

Amazon hasn’t confirmed that a new Universal Windows app is being planned.
