Continuum-capable IDOL 4S discounted on T-Mobile

T-Mobile is now offering the high-end, VR and Continuum-capable smartphone IDOL 4S for just $288 in full, or 24 monthly payments of $12. Previously sold for $432, the Alcatel IDOL 4S got very positive reviews from T-Mobile customers due to its capable hardware, excellent design and features. Later, Alcatel started selling the phone unlocked via Microsoft Store in US and Canada for $470, while an international variant of 4S is expected to hit Europe by March 2017. At the same time, Alcatel is working on a new model, called 5S, which may be announced at the Mobile World Congress later this month.

Alcatel IDOL 4S features a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor backed by 4GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity is 64 GB, but there is also a microSD slot for expansion. Among the other features are the 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, 21MP rear, 8MP front camera, 3000 mAh battery with quick charge 3.0, Windows Hello via Fingerprint reader, Continuum and VR support.

Alcatel IDOL 4S is one of the few consumer-oriented Windows Phones you can buy right now. With Microsoft focusing only on the software, there could be more than a year until we see something different from HP and Alcatel-branded phones.
