Alcatel Idol 4 Pro to come with a VR headset and special VR apps
The future Windows 10 Phone might support virtual reality
Alcatel’s long-rumored high-end Windows Phone, the Idol 4 Pro, seems to become a reality soon, and this phone might be shipped with a Virtual Reality headset, according to the leaked ROM for the device that includes libraries of VR software.
Owners of the Idol 4 Pro will be able to install VR software from a special VR store, and use a VR video player. All these apps will be pre-installed on the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro, so the users could slide the VR headset and enjoy 360-degree content on their smartphones.
Moreover, the company has already published a VR Launcher app in the Store, which is a hint that the smartphone is coming soon to the market.
Alcatel Idol 4 Pro leaked in pictures months ago, but there’s still no word on when it would be released. The phone is rumored to have a 5.5-inch display with a Full-HD resolution, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. According to the German website WinFuture, the Idol 4 Pro will be sold in the US via T-mobile.
