1.6% of the smartphone subscribers in the US are using Windows phones

Apple is the most popular smartphone brand in the US

ComScore has published their regular data report about the trends in the US smartphone market. They analyze the active smartphone subscribers for the three months ending January 2017. According to the report, only 1.6% of the users had Windows phones, while Android (53.2%) and iOS (44.6%) were distant leaders.

And while Android is the leading mobile platform in the US, Apple’s iPhone is the most popular phone brand – with a 44.6% share of the subscribers. Samsung is a distant second with 28%, followed by LG (10.3%), Motorola (4.3%) and HTC (2.3%). Surprisingly, BlackBerry OS still attracts 0.6% of the users, even after the Canadian company stopped developing its own OS, switched to Android and sold the rights to brand name to a Chinese licensee.
