Xiaomi will present the Mi 5 on February 24

The Chinese giant is preparing the launch of its flagship phone for 2016 called Mi 5. Sources from China have revealed that Xiaomi may release two versions of the same phone – one with Android and one with Windows 10 Mobile.

Xiaomi and Microsoft have already worked together on a couple of projects – like the Windows 10 Mobile ROM for the Xiaomi Mi 4, and the Mi Pad 2 tablet running Windows 10. If the information about the Mi 5 for Windows 10 is true, then the Lumia 950 range will soon be no longer the top end Windows Phone.

Xiaomi Mi 5 for Windows 10 is expected to be exactly the same device in terms of hardware as its Android counterpart. The phone is rumored to have the top-end Snapdragon 820 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 5.3-inch screen with 1440 x 2560 resolution, 16 or 64 GB of memory, 16MP rear camera, non-removable 3030 mAh battery.
