The Mi Pad 3 to rival Apple’s iPad Pro

After releasing the first Mi Pad with Android OS, and the second model (Mi Pad 2) with both Android and Windows 10, the Chinese company Xiaomi is preparing a third generation but this time exclusively with Windows 10.

Leaked promotional materials for the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 reveals a larger tablet – this time 9.7 inches across the screen’s diagonal, matching completely Apple iPad Pro not only in screen size, but also in resolution – 2048 x 1536 pixels.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will be officially announced on December 30, with Intel Core M3 (7 generation) processor with 8 GB of RAM, 128 or 256 GB of storage, and a 8290 mAh battery. Among the other features are USB Type C, 8-megapixel selfie camera, 16 MP rear camera with dual LED flash. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 has dimensions of 239.5 x 164.5 x 6.08 mm, and a weight of just 380 grams. Mi Pad 3 is 57g lighter and 0.02mm thinner than the Apple’s iPad.

The new Windows 10 tablet will cost $290 (128 GB) or $332 (256 GB), with a keyboard dock sold separately for just $14.
