WordPress for Windows Phone gets a new update
WordPress has released a new update on Windows Phone platform. WordPress version 2.2 gets several improvements in comparison with the previous version. It has an improved gallery support and a number of fixed bugs.
With the new version of the app users get an image gallery support for self-hosted sites. So far, only the users of wordpress.com were able to use this option, but now the ones who run their own WordPress sites also have access to this feature. The only requirement is that the site has to run WordPress 3.5 or higher.
The image gallery shows all images of a particular page or blog in the form of thumbnail gallery. When the reader clicks an image the app opens the gallery in a full-screen mode. The users are able to create image galleries directly from their devices by attaching images to the corresponding post or page. There is a great variety of options and settings on how the gallery to be displayed. A gallery can be displayed as a slideshow or as a thumbnail grid with additional options to choose from: file or page attachment, random order, etc. The app can be downloaded from here.
