WinZip Universal available for Windows 10 Phone, PC and Tablet

The popular encryption and compression tool WinZip has launched its UWP app for Windows 10.

WinZip Universal supports all Windows 10 devices – PCs, tablets and phones. The app allows you to open .zip, RAR and more than 20 other formats. Using the app, you can create .zip and .zipx formats and handle large files on the go. Create a new .zip and add local files or files from popular cloud services like Dropbox, OneDrive, Box and CloudMe.

WinZip Universal arrives with Cortana integration – you can ask your assistant to zip or unzip files for you. The .zip files can be shared securely on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter using the built-in ZipShare function. You can also secure files using password protection.

The app is available as a free trial (20 days) and for a one year subscription for $7.99.
