Windows Phone apps updated: Facebook, Instance, 6tag

A couple of important applications have been recently updated. Among them are Facebook, 6tag and Instance.
Facebook Beta has been updated both for WP7 and WP8. The changes in the WP7 version are much more. The app got a new UI and new features, so now it resembles the WP8 version. On the other hand, all Facebook users with the latest OS version will get only performance improvements and bug fixes. Version 220.127.116.11 for WP8 is available in the Store. Grab it from here.
Instance is an Instagram client that allows you to upload direct from your Windows Phone device. Actually, the app is pretty nice and for some users is even better than the official apps available for iOS and Android. The new version for WP8 is named Instance v2 Beta. It has a completely new look and plenty of new features and improvements.
Users will be able to upload videos, to apply different filters and boarders, to use manual focus, to have activity feed, use tags and more. The app supports social media sharing and you will have the ability to check in on Foursquare. Several bug fixes and improvements have also been made. Instance v2 is currently available for testers. It will be out officially in the coming days.
6tag is another Instagram alternative that works pretty well. It is developed by Rudy Huyn who also works on 6sec – a Vine client. 6tag was updated to version 1.1.
According to the changelog, that is a pretty big change. Among the new features and improvements are:
– Tags search improvements: users can now see your videos when search tags
– Users can post the whole photos without cropping.
– Users can reply to comments
– Several filters are added
– The video quality has been improved
– New keyboard added
– The app remembers the last 40 used tags
– Internet cache button
– The app consumes less energy
