Windows Phone apps start showing up in Windows 10 Store Beta
Combined Windows Store Beta shows up in latest Windows 10 build
A new Windows 10 build, which can be considered as an early version of the Windows 10 Technical Preview for Consumers, leaked online with tons of changes, improvements, UI tweaks, new apps, early Cortana, and more. Windows 10 Build 9901 has a new Store in Beta with modern interface which for the first time combines all Windows stores into one. The store has the following sections: apps, games, music, films & TV. What’s really interesting is that this new W10 Store contains even some Windows Phone 8.X apps.
AngelWZR has found one of the HTC’s Windows Phone apps called ‘Make More Space’. This could be a sign that soon many Windows Phone apps can be run on other devices with access to the Windows 10 Store – PCs, tablets, TVs, consoles.

In addition, Windows 10 build 9901 adds Cortana that replaces the default search functionally, a redesigned Xbox app with new sections for quick access to friends, achievements, feeds and Store. In this early build of Windows 10 Microsoft introduces some native Windows 10 apps which come with modern user interface in the Windows Phone style. Another change is connected with the Settings Charm which has been removed so individual app settings are accessed from the respective app menus.
Microsoft will unveil the consumer features of Windows 10 at a special event in January. Cortana, more polished User interface, details about the new unified Store, new hardware, and other interesting topics will be discussed in January 21st.
