Windows Maps updated with multiple stops in route planning
The update for Maps is available for Windows Insiders
Microsoft has updated the Windows Maps app for Windows 10 PC and Mobile to version 5.1703.707.0. The update brings only one, but highly requested features – the ability to add stops when getting directions.
When planning a route from A to B, you can add multiple stops between the two end points. Hit the ‘+’ button to add stops, or right click on the map to select ‘Add destination’. In addition to the new feature, Microsoft has improved the performance of Maps and fixes some bugs.
The new version of the UWP app should be rolling out to production devices in the coming weeks before the Creators Update in April. Currently, it’s available for Insiders in the Fast and Slow Ring. However, some users are still having problems with build 15055 in the Fast as they cannot update any app from the Store. The issue should be fixed in the next preview build of Windows 10.
