Windows Camera updated with force HDR and Video Pause
The new features finally reach all non-Insider devices
The high-end Windows 10 phones now have a full control over the HDR feature and a pause button for video recording. These two new features were first spotted in March after an update of the Windows Camera app available for Insiders on the Fast Ring.
Microsoft has recently released the Camera app version 2016.325.61.0 to all users, so all owners of Lumia 950, 950 XL, 930 and other devices, will be able to apply force HDR (always on) to their photos.
The HDR feature replaces the old Rich Capture, and now there are three options for taking photos – HDR on, HDR auto and HDR off. If you select ‘HDR On’ while taking a photo, you can then tap ‘Choose the best lighting’ and manually adjust the HDR effect.
The second new feature in the Camera app is the video pausing button.
