New Settings Menu and Action Center

We already reported about a new build (8.15.12492.41) of Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones which is undergoing internal testing before public appearance sometime this month. Now three screenshots of a newer build has appeared online, revealing Windows 10’s action center and Settings Menu.

Version 8.15.12493.42 greets with a message that the update is installed, followed by a quote from Russell Wilson (quarterback, Seattle Seahawks) saying: “Every setback has a major comeback”.

The screenshots shows new Settings Page with logical organization, categories and icons.

Also seen is the new Action Center with three rows instead of two, and an option to collapse and expand.

More leaks could pop up ahead of the public appearance of the Technical Preview so we will update this article if we discover anything new.

Update 2/6/2015

A Chinese website has published more images of what is believed to become Windows 10 Preview for Phones. We can spot a separate recording app (not for calls). The menus have been tweaked to match the desktop version. As we already informed, Windows 10’s keyboard has a special virtual joystick for moving the cursor around the text. The keyboard can also split keys and has a voice input (you can see the icon at the top). All leaked screenshots are in this Live Blog (…developing)
