Windows 10 Mobile will soon allow you to associate apps with websites
You will be able to open a link using the associated app
Microsoft has been testing many new features for Windows 10 Mobile Redstone for months now, and some of them have already been included in the Insider preview builds. One of the upcoming changes with Redstone has been spotted by OneTile.ru in an internal Redstone build.
A new option has been included in Settings → System. It will allow you to associate apps with websites if you don’t want to open them in Microsoft Edge. For example, if you click on an Instagram link you could launch that specific app and see the content in Instagram.
‘Apps for Websites’ should be heading to Insiders on both PC and Mobile with the next Preview builds of Windows 10.
