Only for Fast Ring users on build 10536.1004

All Insiders who are running the latest preview build through the Fast Ring can go to Settings –> Phone Updates to download and install a small update that is available for build 10536.1004.

Microsoft hasn’t provided details on this update, but we assume it prepares the phone for an upcoming Insider build that may arrive this week and even today.

The update package is very small, but the installation procedure can take up to 30 min, depending on the device. We have not noticed anything new and performance improvements after the upgrade.

Keep in mind that in order to install the update you need to install the Windows Insider app, enroll to ‘Insider Fast’ and then manually check for an update in Settings (Phone Update).
