You can upgrade directly from 10080

Microsoft has just released Build 10149 of Windows 10 Mobile Preview to all Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring.

The company has fixed the issue with Build 10080, so users can upgrade directly to 10149, without flashing their phones back to WP 8.1.

IMPORTANT TO READ THIS: The post-upgrade migration status screen is still missing after upgrading to this build which normally shows you the progress of the post-upgrade migration. After upgrading, the Lock screen will appear frozen without the date and time for up to 10 minutes. Please be patient and let it sit – eventually the date and time will appear and it will allow you to unlock your phone. If you get impatient and restart or mess with locking/unlocking your phone, you’ll wind up in a funky state – so just relax and let it do its thing.

Here’s what’s new:

Microsoft Edge: Microsoft Edge branding is finally here. Based on feedback, the address bar has been repositioned at the bottom. There is an option to switch between mobile and desktop view.

General UX improvements and refinement: Live Tiles look crisper and clearer. Refinements of controls and visuals. Improvements in Live Tile animation. OS is far more responsive.

Improvements to Cortana: Profile and Settings experience are combined. Quiet Hours is in the Notebook.

Flashlight quick action: you have a quick button for Flashlight in the Action Center.

Updated Photos app for Windows 10: general performance and reliability improvements; support for animated GIFs; links to your saved photos, screenshots, and camera roll are available on the Albums page.

Automatic camera upload via OneDrive

Update your apps: Make sure you check the Store Beta and download the latest updates for apps such as Outlook Mail and Calendar, Music, Movies & TV, and the MSN apps (News, Weather, Sports, and Money).

These features have been detailed by Microsoft and there could be many unannounced changes in Build 10149. We will review this version and post a new article with all changes in the coming hours.
