Windows 10 Fall Creators Update coming on October 17 with build 16299
Microsoft starts testing out Cumulative Updates for Build 16299
We are two weeks away from the official roll out of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, scheduled for October 17, but Microsoft already started testing the first cumulative updates for the RTM Build – 16299.
Insider Preview 16299.15 is now live in the Fast Insider Ring for testing, just a week after build 16299 rolled out to Fast and Slow. With this cumulative updates (Preview), Microsoft is both testing servicing the official release via Windows Update, and improving the performance by fixing some bugs.
Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is feature complete with build 16299, but the company will probably release one or two minor updates to Insiders before rolling out the Day One patch once the update becomes available on October 17.
Meanwhile, there is no official information on when the company will start updating the Lumia smartphones to the last major version of Windows 10 Mobile (_feature2).
