Windows 10 may be available sooner than expected

Microsoft has already released Technical Preview versions of Windows 10 for PCs (September 2014) and phones (February 2015), but the official rollout was set for the late summer of 2015.

But, the CEO of AMD may has accidentally confirmed a sooner release. Speaking at a press-conference, AMD’s CEO reveals that Microsoft’s target is to release Windows 10 at the end of July. The explanation given is that Microsoft may be trying to capitalize on the ‘back to school’ promotions which starts in August.

Given the current state of Windows 10, it is quite unlikely that Microsoft will manage to release the final version of the platform in three months’ time. However, Windows 10 for PCs seems to be quite more polished and closer to release than the Mobile OS which is still too raw and unstable.

More details on Windows 10 could be given at the upcoming BUILD conference. Stay tuned for more news on Windows 10.
