The company launched a Desktop client for PC
WhatsApp has rolled out a pretty big update to its Windows Phone app. The new version 2.16.52 includes a redesigned chat window and new UI elements in the vein of Windows 10 Mobile.
The updated app has the call button at the top right and a contact photo at the top left corner. In addition, users can finally set a plain color on the background. Keep in mind that despite all improvements and updates WhatsApp is still based on old code and the app is not Universal.
WhatsApp also released a Desktop client for Windows PC that integrates with the Action Center to show notifications.
