The Swedish/Chinese car manufacturer has announced that voice control support through Cortana will be coming to its Windows Phone app in June. Volvo on Call service is currently available in 21 markets and has more than 200,000 active subscribers around the globe, according to the company.

After updating Volvo on Call in late June, Volvo car owners will be able to control their cars with voice, through a Windows Phone and Cortana digital assistant.

The current version of the Windows Phone app allows car owners to locate the car on the map, lock and unlock the vehicle remotely, getting information and assistance and other cool things. With Cortana integration in July, all Volvo owners will get additional control over the car thanks to enhanced send-to-car capabilities and Cortana voice commands.
