Vodafone Australia to roll out Windows 10 Mobile in January
Carriers to begin rolling out Windows 10 Mobile in January
Microsoft has already compiled and sent a Windows 10 Mobile build (RTM) to manufacturers and carriers around the globe. In December, some users even received an update of the platform, but only those having Lumia 950 / 950 XL. The update process, however, was far from perfect – Microsoft had to stop it to fix a bug, before rolling out to the rest of the phones.
Now we are waiting a Windows 10 update for the legacy devices – the older Lumia phones running Windows Phone 8.1.
Microsoft has confirmed that the upgrade will begin rolling out in early 2016, but now we have the first confirmation from a carrier. The Australian Vodafone has announced that the update will begin its rollout in mid-January for the following phones: Nokia Lumia 930, Lumia 730, Lumia 640 and 640 XL and Lumia 630.
More carriers are expected to announce its plans for Windows 10 Mobile in the coming days, so stay tuned.
