First look at the new UWP Viber

Viber 6.0 for Windows 10 Mobile has been released to users who subscribed for the beta test. The company announced in April that it was looking for testers willing to try and improve the upcoming Universal app for Windows 10. For those who subscribed, the new beta version 6.0 is available in the Store as an update.

The brand new Viber comes with a much faster start-up and the app resumes instantaneously. In addition, Viber has been completely redesigned for Windows 10 and now includes new icons, controls at the bottom, swipe to back, new settings page and more backgrounds.

Keep in mind that this is a beta version. Some of the features available for iOS are not here – like Video calling which has a tag ‘coming soon’. The company will probably release a couple of updates to the Beta app before the public release. At the moment, Viber 6.0 is limited to Windows 10 Mobile.
