Third WP8.1 update and more Network+ improvements

windows phone reinvented around you

If you are running Windows Phone 8.1 through the Preview for Developers program, Microsoft released a third update to the platform as you might have noticed already. After the first update in May and the second in early June, now Microsoft is rolling out a third one – build 12397.

This third update brings APIs changes and support for ‘newly devices’, but you won’t notice any visible changes to your Windows Phones, according to Microsoft. You can update to the latest firmware by enabling “Preview for Developers” and heading to Settings -> Phone Update.

At the same time, Microsoft rolled out an update to Network+ for all Lumia smartphones. There is no changelog available so we suggest that version includes some bug fixes and improvements. According to the description, Network+ provides Smart SIM and Dual SIM support for all Lumia-branded Windows Phones. Update Network+ by heading over to the Store.
