Duolingo for Windows Phone lets you study selected foreign languages for free providing you have an internet connection. When you open the app for the first time, you will see a welcome window with options to create a profile or sign in. After clicking on ‘Create a profile’ you need to select a course. The courses for English speakers include Danish, Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese, while users from non-English speaking countries (17 in total) have less options to choose from. For example Spanish users can choose among 5 languages, French speakers among 2, German speaking among two courses.

Duolingo offers easy to follow, funny lessons with pronunciations and hearts for tracking the overall progress. If you are into a new language, Duolingo is definitely worth trying.
