Tesco launches a 7-inch Windows tablet for £99
With the Lumia 530 together the price is just £129.
UK’s largest supermarket chain TESCO is launching its first Windows tablet to the masses. Named Connect 7, this is a budget-oriented device running Windows 8.1, priced at £99. The new tablet features a 7-inch TFT screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution (216 ppi) and an Intel Atom processor Z3735G clocked at 1 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. Integrated storage capacity is 32GB which is great for that price, and there are two conventional 2MP cameras on the back and front sides.
The Connect 7 comes pre-installed with three Tesco applications – Explore Tesco, Tesco Groceries, and Movies & TV with access to hundreds of movies and TV series. Of course, the Connect 7 gives you a 1 year free subscription to Office 365.
Tesco is selling the Connect 7 Windows tablet alone for £99 or with the Nokia Lumia 530 together for the great price of just £129. With a new two year contract for just £12.50 per month you can get these two devices for free.
Connect 7 is not the first tablet offered by Tesco, but the first running Windows. The UK retailer launched two Android based models called Hudl and the latest one (Hudl) is being sold for £129.
